Top of the morning to yall
That am blogging today has to be one of the greatest recovery stories of the modern game. In fact it has defied all forms of modern medicine. My injury? I was attacked by a colony of bees’ yesterday and that I escaped with just a couple of excruciatingly painful stings and am back blogging today makes it not just one miracle but two. Apparently the bees mistook my cologne for fresh nectar and yes I wear a very good cologne.
The interlull is finally over and all the lads return from international duties this week and as I feared in my last blog, Abou Diaby got injured with a hip injury in the game against Finland on Friday and though Arsene has played down the severity of the injury by saying he might play against The Saints on Saturday, its still frustrating. A player with so much ability and potential for greatness would be so constantly ducked with injuries. Hope fully they can rebuild him before the weekend and we can all get on with our normal lives.
With the lull over, we can concentrate more on the league and some snippets of information say that long term absentees Jack Wilshere, Sagna and Frimpong will return to training after the break and Wenger has put Wilshere returning to full fitness to 3weeks giving that he gets some games to gain full match fitness. It’s wonderful news from any point of view as Wilshere has the potential to be a key member of the team when fit and his potential return will definitely boost morale around the club while adding more squad depth to the team.
Arsenal fans have to be cautious and patient with his recovery however. Despite that he has been out for over a year, many people still see him as an integral part of the Arsenal team and a similar level of performances and output will be expected of him. It’s important that we are patient with him, give him the required backing necessary for him to fulfil his potentials even when he makes mistakes. He has been out for a very long time a will be very rusty and will take some time to regain full match fitness and don’t rule out the usual muscle strain that accompany players that have been out for long. Am sure with time, we would see him back in business in full swing.
Nothing much seems to be going on today. Santi Cazorla has been named the Player of the Month of August for his impressive start to his Arsenal career scoring one and assisting one in the process. He is fast endearing himself to the hearts of Arsenal fans everywhere. Big ups to the lad for the well-deserved accolade. The players jet back into Colney after the lull and as Friday approach, we should see a couple of them talk to the microphone. We will definitely have juicy stories by then
God bless the Arsenal. Iree o
After my ordeal with the bees yesterday, I discovered that bee sting has anti biotic functions. I recommend you give it a shot, it’s good for your health. Please be kind enough to share your experience in the comments section.
