The Team Clown and the New Signing

Top of the Morning to y’all
The Emirates has been a buzz since the team secured automatic champions league qualification on Sunday at the Hawthorns with several players talking to the press about the importance of the victory, and how happy they were to secure third place, blah blah blah and my favourite as always is Wojciech Szczesny. I know there are class clowns and if there was anything like a team clown, I have no doubt that Szcz would be the Arsenal team clown as he says about the Kieran Gibbs tackle,
“I had it covered to be honest!
Can you believe that? Anyway, he goes on to say about the final position of the team,
“It is massive; I said before that I don't think people believed we could finish third. Although I wouldn't have taken it before the season, given the circumstance and the start of the season I think we will take it and we are very pleased.  You want to win trophies. Yes we are happy we managed to finish third but when you play for this club you want to win trophies and we didn't do it this year so it is disappointing”
I can’t but notice the silent reminder of why we have apparently lost some of our best players over the years in Szcz’s statement. “Trophies” like I said it’s just a reminder albeit a silent one and no one should take it serious.
Meanwhile Podolski says he cant wait for his Arsenal debut and honestly, I cant wait myself and millions of Arsenal fans as well. He says
At the time the transfer negotiations started between the two clubs, the decision was made really quickly. I’m now looking forward to the challenge at my new club and cannot wait to start after Euro 2012.
“I had a very good season with Cologne, I played well and as a result I’m now going to Euro 2012 with lots of confidence.
Despite the fact that Cologne was relegated from the Bundesliga, Poldi had a very good season scoring 18 goals and its with that confidence that he is going to the Euros and of course Arsenal afterwards. You get the feeling that he made a very big life decision and he is looking forward to it with nostalgia. He also says about Mertesacker
“I do speak to Per whenever we meet and we keep in touch on the telephone, too,"
“He has mentioned things about the Club’s organization, the training ground, the fans and this has really helped. It might have influenced me to a certain extent but in the end, of course, I took the decision myself.
New Signing

Can someone at Arsenal please recruit the BFG as a scout? Am sure he will get us more amazing players, I mean, Podolski on his first attempt, that's amazing!!!. Who knows, maybe Messi would be next. Good work BFG.
I can’t wait for the next season to start, am sure the Theo VanPoldi combination would terrorise defences across England and in Europe. The season has ended, and we can only move on. We achieved what was thought as impossible so we need to build on that. Signing Robin on to a new contract is key as it can also attract other big players and some defensive reinforcements would also be welcome.
Despite all that has been said, I see it being a rather quiet summer in terms of transfers for us. We have some very good players out on loan that will be coming back (Ryo and Campbell) and the boss might just feel they are ready to take the next step up.
Till Friday when I bring another edition, drop your comments on my twitter page on http://www.twitter.com/nigeriangunners and I will be glad to read from you
God bless the Arsenal. Iree o
