Asian Chronicles 3

Top of the morning to y’all
Its match day 2 for the globetrotting gunners that are on tour in the far east. The spectacular birds nest stadium will provide the battleground for the game between Arsenal and current league champions Man Citeh and as Arsene said he expects an intense game between the two sides.

It is a big game, The intensity will be high again and hopefully we can last an hour [playing at a high pace] - that is the target.

We want to have a good battle with Manchester City. We played the young players in Malaysia, they will play again certainly - some a little part - on Friday night but for now, we are preparing for the season.

Like Arsene said he just wants 60mins of good fast paced action and rightly so. Tuesday night against the Malaysians was a good test but with the EPL champions, it’s a different kettle of fish altogether and its gonna be nice to see a good performance from the lads.
Today’s game like the last is just a run out and we should not be bothered about the result. Thinking about the quality on display, one should really expect an interesting game but the most important thing about today’s game is to avoid injuries to anybody including Chamakh. If we can do that I will be a happy man by the end of today regardless of the result. People should refrain from making absurd conclusions from the game and demanding the head of players -including Chamakh- and questioning the manager – that's assuming the the result don’t go our way- Its just a work out game and one that should be approached as such.
In other news, the RvP transfer saga is turning out to be rocking the boat over there at City with Mancini hitting out at club chief Brian Marwood over the club’s reluctance in making a concrete move for the Dutchman. When asked in a press conference in China, he said

For an answer to these questions you need to talk to the man in charge. I'm not in charge of these things.
It's important to get players in. After what we did last year its important this year that we continue to win. This year will not be easy. It will be harder than last year. For this reason we need to improve our team. But we have people to do this. I hope that they can do a good job.

For all you know guys, van Persie could turn out to be a genius and a true Arsenal legend by putting his reputation on the line to cause crisis in our opponents club. I kid, I kid. But one cannot but fail to see the irony of the whole situation and I more than hope they all fall out and hate each other and crumble this season and not play in the Champions League next season and Sheik Mansour gets mad and pulls his investment from the club and they face the indignity of relegation when their debts have been choked down their throats like Rangers and Portsmouth. A clown I am right?
Anyway, I have a game to go watch by 12:00pm. So y’all have a nice day. And by the way I dint go to work today so I wont have to lie to my boss like the last time. Hahahaha
God bless the Arsenal. Iree o
